Russian Language for Engineers

Educational program is an intensive special-purpose Russian language course. The program offers classes of Russian for engineers. Engineering fields offered are aviation, IT, power engineering, oil and gas engineering, mechanical engineering. Ulyanovsk State Technical University is a regional leader in teaching Russian language for international students entering Russian universities. Being a technical school UlSTU possess a lot of specialists in engineering fields working together with Russian teachers and providing students with skills in technical Russian.

Students with A2-B1 level of knowledge are invited. Certificate of knowledge is recommended, but not obligatory, online placement test will be available for applicants. Classes are held in small groups and include theoretical and practical tasks and workshops with highly-qualified and skilled tutors of the Russian as a Foreign Language Department.

Course also offers practical trainings in museums, historical sites and architectural landmarks of the Ulyanovsk region and its neighborhood, as well as industrial companies visits.

Upon completion students receive a certificate of a taken course, indicating the number of academic hours and credit points recommended, as well as study materials, workbooks and study books. International TORFL exam is also available for school students (upon request).

Entertaining part of the program combines sports activities, workshops, cultural museums, city tours, bicycle rides, camping, and many other events.

Participants of the Summer school are accommodated within walking distance from all educational buildings. During the School student tutors and volunteers support foreign participants and help them with orientation. The university also provides transport for students arriving to the city. on campus.

During the School participants will be accompanied by student tutors and volunteers. It is recommended for students to form groups when arriving to Russia so the university specialist could meet them in Moscow and follow to Ulyanovsk (if applicable).
